This is an art fully sculptured Cook Islands statue. The Shark was a popular Aumakua in the Cook Islands, and Tangaloa was the people's deity. Here the two are carved in effigy depicting that they are one spirit, controlled by Tangaloa. A contemporary carving of Ancient beliefs.
