Hawaiian Stick Tiki God Sculpture. Polynesian Carving. Original: Bishop Museum Provenance: Hawaii

This is an art fully sculptured Hawaiiantiki statue. This is a fine example of the many types of wooden images of gods. With its pointed prop (stick), this type could be stuck in the ground or in the wall thatch to support the image in an upright position. The crest on the head is quite common, but is seldom found on other small images which do not have the "stick extension".
