ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS:Our tiki statues and masks are hand carved and painted by experienced carvers and great attention is paid to color and detail. The carvings are made from high quality woods like Koa (Acacia), Monkey Pod, Albesia, Palm wood and Pine wood. Most of our tikis products are from the Pacific, mostly the Indonesian Islands and Asia. BAMBOO POLES and FENCING: All poles have been fumigated to USDA regulations. Since shipping costs cary to different locations, we will give you a quote after you check out your order. Checkout without paying for shipping and we will then give you a quote for your shipping by email or phone. We will then send you a link on our website so you can pay for the shipping. We only charge you what we pay for shipping... But if the quote doesn't satisfy you, we will cancel your order and you won't be charged. All bamboo poles are subject to cracking. In fact, CRACKING IS GUARANTEED. BAMBOO PRODUCTS ARE NOT RETURNABLE. Tropical Matting: OUR TROPICAL MATTINGS ARE NOT RETURNABLE. HAWAIIAN QUILTS: Our Kenui Quilt Collection has been Hawaii's best selling quilt collection for many years. All our Hawaiian quilts are hand quilted in the traditional Hawaiian way. Our quilt supplier is a Hawaiian company who started working with Quilters here in Hawaii over 22 years ago, who were taught In the Hawaiian manner of Quiling (Kapa Lau). Each quilted piece has an average of 6-8 stitches per inch. The term “Hawaiian Quilt” refers to the Method by which the quilt is made. The design is appliquéd, using the hidden or “blind” stitch method onto the background material that is then quilted with a ripple or echo pattern. The Quilters were Filipino women here in Hawaii who are known for their fine handiwork and excellent quilting. Most of the Quilters were plantation workers who quilted as a side line business; upon retirement they moved back home to the Philippines where they were set up in their home towns in the to continue quilting. Over time they taught their families how to quilt using the exact same techniques and methods they had learned in Hawaii. They now have established a “cottage industry” in the Philippines making fine Hawaiian Quilts. Because of cost of living differences between Hawaii and the Philippines we are able to offer our Hawaiian Quilts at a very reasonable price and we are able to bring to market excellent product at very reasonable prices. If you look at the artistry of the handiwork of each quilt you will see the love and aloha that went into making each piece, especially for you. Each of those stitches are done by hand and carefully crafted to make you a very beautiful Kapa. We can make any quilt for you in any color combination you like. It normally takes 90 - 120 days to complete. Please note that custom orders are not returnable.
